Getting Started with Dedicated Server

If you are ready to take your web hosting to another level, a dedicated server can provide the power, flexibility, and control you need. In this post, we’ll walk you through the essential steps to get started with a dedicated server, ensuring a smooth transition and optimal performance for web hosting needs.

A dedicated server offers enhanced performance, complete control, scalability, and augmented security. It allows you to customize the server environment based on the requirements.

Let’s get started:

Assess Your Requirements:

Determining your server requirements is crucial to choose the correct dedicated server for your web hosting needs.

N6 Cloud Dedicated Server!

  1. CPU And Processing Power: Evaluate the number of cores, clock speed, and processing power required to handle the expected workload and the number of concurrent visitors. We offer (1x E5-2620v4 2.1GHz 8 core, 2x E5-2640v4 2.4GHz 10 core, 2x E5-2690v4 2.6GHz 14 core)
  2. RAM: Determine the total memory needed to support the simultaneous processes and applications running on the server. You can have from 16 GB DDR4 to 128 GB DDR4.
  3. Storage: assess the required disk space for hosting websites, databases, and backups. Consider factors such as website size, expected growth, and the need for RAID configurations for data redundancy.
  4. Bandwidth: Estimate the total data transfer needed to handle your client’s website traffic, including file uploads, downloads, and media streaming.
  5. Operating System Installation: Select an operating system based on your familiarity and specific requirements.
  6. RAID Configuration: RAID stands for Redundant Array of Independent Disks. Using RAID with your dedicated servers increases data redundancy and performance by utilizing multiple hard disk drives to store and access data.

Two types of RAID are available: hardware RAID and software RAID. Hardware RAID requires a dedicated piece of hardware in the system, while software RAID manages RAID configurations through the operating system at the software level.

Once you access your requirements, you will see some additional features:

  1. Backup service (Storage based): In this service, data is stored in a secure, cloud, or off-site cloud repository, protecting it from unauthorized access, corruption, hacking, or theft.
  2. Backup - Backup as a Service for Physical Servers (License Based): It is a server that makes a backup of data, files, applications, or databases on an internal or remote server and recovers the backup data when needed.

In the last step, you can create an account if you have yet to do so or log in to your existing account.
