How to Add user in the CWP

When you install CWP on your server, it creates an administrative user account with superuser privileges. This primary user has access to all the features and settings in the control panel, allowing them to configure and manage the server and its services.

Additionally, CWP allows you to create additional user accounts, often referred "CWP users" or "sub-users." These user accounts can have different access and permissions, allowing you to delegate specific tasks or give limited access to certain features in the control panel. This ability to create multiple CWP users is useful in scenarios where more than one individual or team manages different server aspects.

Follow the below steps to add a user in the CWP:

Install CWP on your hosting server!

Step:-1 login to your CWP account. (https://your-host-name.com or IP Address:2031)(htpp://your-host-name.com or IP Address:2087)

Step:-2 Click on User Account from the side menu bar, New Account

User Account>>New Account

Step:-3 Fill out the Information in the form required to create the user.

Make sure to choose the package as default and choose additional information as per your requirements, then click on CREATE.

Save your username and password information for future usage.

Congratulations! You are all set to use your account now!

Step:-4 Under List Accounts you can see your New User Account.

User Accounts>>List Accounts>>link Icone Besides Username

You should audit your CWP user list periodically to determine if any are no longer needed and should be deleted. It can also show you which user accounts need more, or less, disk space allotted.

You can access New User Account with IP address:2083, IP address:2082, hostname:2083, hostname:2082 or you can click on the link Icone besides username here.

Fix Permissions

The Fix Permissions tool can quickly repair two common account-wide issues:

  • Incorrect file and user permissions, often resulting from software misconfiguration, by resetting the files to be owned by the CWP user.
  • 500 Internal Server Error, usually caused by coding errors in the web server

If you are facing these errors simply check the box for Fix Permissions and then Fix Selected Issues, it will solve the errors.
